This super lightweight MAN TGM 4x4 Expedition Truck combines a spacious living environment with a carbon construction designed to keep weight low. Virtually unused and supplied with extensive equipment, tools and materials, it offers a well-equipped starting point for your world journey.
Redundant design – peace of mind
For travel across different climates, the truck has several independent and backup systems: 2 diesel tanks, 2 freshwater tanks, 3 heat sources, 2 alternators and 2 separate lithium battery banks. This design provides flexibility and reassurance when travelling beyond established campsites.
More space for comfortable living
The 5.42 m-long living unit makes excellent use of its space. An electric lift bed for two frees up room for a generous kitchen, a seating area for six or more people when parked, and extensive storage. A large mirror near the front enhances the open feel. The bathroom uses a clever folding-door arrangement to turn part of the hallway into a separate shower compartment.
Outside, an electrically raised and lowered rear platform accommodates two optional e-bikes, concealed inside a carbon storage box. A slide-out terrace with an integrated awning extends your living space outdoors, while a large side hatch provides access to equipment, tools, spare parts and materials.
Carbon construction – approximately 3,000 kg lighter
The carbon construction allows distinctive curves that follow the shape of the MAN driver's cab, with a matching carbon roof box completing the design. Most of the interior is also made from carbon fibre. The fully furnished living unit weighs approximately 1,200 kg, helping achieve an overall weight saving of around 3,000 kg compared with a conventionally built expedition truck of similar dimensions.
That lower weight brings practical advantages in sand, mud and snow, alongside responsive acceleration, braking and lower fuel consumption. Estimated travelling weights are approximately 8.1 tonnes in holiday configuration and around 8.5 tonnes in a expedition setting, depending on the equipment, fluids and supplies carried.
