This MAN TGS 33.540 is a rare field-proven 6x6 expedition truck for two people. It combines serious off-road capability with an exceptionally spacious 7.5 m living unit – but its greatest advantage is something you cannot order from a factory: more than 100,000 km of real overland experience.
This Expedition Truck has already crossed continents and travelled through very different conditions. During those years, the chassis, living systems and equipment have been used, maintained, adjusted and improved in the real world. It is therefore not a newly completed prototype waiting for its first owners to discover what works and what does not.
Time can only be spent once. With this rare 6x6, the years of design, construction, testing and fine-tuning have already been invested. Instead of starting a multi-year building project, the next owners can concentrate on preparing their journey and travelling.

Just as importantly, the handover does not end with the keys. The current owners are seasoned overland travellers and will personally introduce the new owners to the truck, its systems and the practical lessons learned during years of international travel.

This MAN 6x6 is designed as a self-contained appartment for two, with the space and systems needed for long journeys without depending on campsites, residential or rural infrastructure. The 7.5 m living unit gives the crew room to live as you're used to at home: one person can work or relax while the other cooks, showers or sleeps.

The electrical system is built around Mastervolt components and combines several independent charging sources. This means essential functions such as refrigeration, heating, cooking, lighting and the workspace can continue operating even when the truck remains away from external infrastructure for longer periods.
The result is not simply a long list of equipment. The individual systems work together to provide something more important on an extended journey: space, independence and a normal daily routine wherever the truck is parked.
The rear of this MAN TGS 33.540 can be adapted to match the way you intend to travel. Rather than treating the rear section as a fixed part of the vehicle, it can be configured around your own priorities: mobility, spare-wheel capacity or additional storage.

There is no single rear-platform solution that suits every journey. The best configuration depends on what you want to carry, where you plan to travel and how much emphasis you place on storage, mobility or off-road clearance.
The proven 6x6 chassis, living unit and travel systems remain the core of the vehicle; the rear platform can be optionally tailored around your own travel plans and equipment requirements.

Buying an expedition truck does not necessarily mean that it first has to be individually approved and registered in your home country. For many first-time overland crews, this can make a major difference in both time and cost.
For this MAN TGS 33.540, established license plate solutions are optionally available. Depending on your country of residence and personal situation, this can avoid a new individual technical approval by your local road authority and may also prevent unnecessary fiscal consequences connected with a local registration.
The practical advantage is significant: instead of buying the truck and then entering a potentially lengthy national approval process, you can take ownership with a road-legal registration solution suitable for international and world travel and start travelling within a short timeframe.
This is particularly valuable for a highly customised expedition truck. Individual approval procedures can require additional documentation, inspections, modifications and specialist involvement — with no guarantee that another national authority will interpret every existing modification in the same way.
A suitable license plate solution also adds value beyond your own ownership. When the truck is eventually sold again, the next owner can potentially continue with an established registration route instead of starting another technical approval process from zero.
